About Kept

Recipes are how the people we love keep cooking for us — long after they've handed us the card. Keptis where a family's recipes live forever: the handwritten ones, the arguments over how much garlic, the photos of Grandma, the videos of cooking together.

The idea

Kept turns cooking into something your family keeps together. Every recipe gets its own page. Every time you make one, you log it — a rating, a few words, a photo — so each dish slowly gathers a history: who cooked it, when, and how it turned out. Keep a running list of what you want to make next, and follow what everyone else in your circle is cooking.

What makes it ours

  • 📸 Handwritten cards — snap Grandma's index card; we transcribe it and keep the original as a keepsake.
  • 👵 Originator portraits — every recipe can carry a photo of who it came from.
  • 🍴 Forks with lineage — variations branch off the original and stay credited.
  • 🎥 Cook-along videos — film one with the family member the recipe came from.
  • 🔒 Private by default — only your circle can see your recipes.
