מרתיחים שמן ל160 מעלות (אם אין מד חום מניחים כף עץ וכשיש בועות סביבה השמן רותח).

יוצקים את הבצק לשמן בעצרת כף גלידה קפיצית.

מטגנים עד שהסופגניות מקבלות צבע שחום.

מוציאים מהשמן ומגישים עם אבקת סוכר וריבת תות.
Ingredients
- 2¾ cupflour — 2 cups plus 3/4 cup
- 2 tablespoonsugar
- 2 teaspoonbaking powder
- 1 pinchsalt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cupEshel (Israeli cultured buttermilk) — 2 individual tubs
- 2 literoil — for frying
- powdered sugar — for serving
- strawberry jam — for serving
Steps

Mix the dry ingredients.

Add the eggs and Eshel and mix into a sticky batter.

Heat the oil to 160°C (if you don't have a thermometer, dip a wooden spoon in — when bubbles form around it, the oil is ready).

Drop the batter into the oil using a spring-loaded ice cream scoop.

Fry until the doughnuts turn deep golden brown.

Remove from the oil and serve with powdered sugar and strawberry jam.
